Shortly before the pandemic, Kristen joined the faculty of AMDA in NYC and currently serves as a performance instructor in the Musical Theatre Department. She, like her students, are eager to see theatre industry regenerate and flourish once again. Sending love and artistic inspiration all who need it.
EVERYBODY RISE! (A Resistance Cabaret)
In the latter half of 2019, Kristen joined the ferocious talents of John Bolton, Liz Calloway, Taylor Crousore, Richard Kind, Michael Kostroff, Bebe Neuwirth, Brad Oscar, Christine Pedi, Don Stephenson, Michael West, Nick Wyman and Chip Zien in a series of one night concerts at Birdland and the York to sendup the Age of Trump through parodies of classic Broadway tunes. Masterminded by Joe Keenan and musically directed by Matthew Martin Ward and Ed Goldschneider, it was activism at its musical theatre best. She also participated in Joe Keenan's viral sendup of "Telephone Hour" in early 2020 to help get out the vote.

TO THE FORUM
Kristen finished 2018 performing as Pseudolus at Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, FL. Directed by Darren Katz, Choreographed by Adam Cates and musically directed by Matt Aument, this gender bent re-telling was timely and a joy to play.
R.R.R.E.D. A SECRET MUSICAL
Over the summer of 2018, Kristen was the Associate Choreographer to Shea Sullivan on this heartfelt, hysterical, red-headed Off-Broadway production of Katie Thompson's brilliant music and clever book (also written by Adam Jackman and Patrick Livingston). Directed by Andy Sandberg, it ran at the DR2 Theatre in NYC with a myriad of special guest stars such as Ariana DeBose, Christopher Seiber and Tovah Felshuh...and on a few nights, Kristen Mengelkoch. THE VILLAINS' SUPPER CLUB
Spring of 2018, Kristen literally kicked butt in this new Lila Rose Kaplan comedy at Merrimack Repertory Theatre. Directed by Sean Daniels, Kristen starred as Galactic Girl, the last surviving superhero facing an onslaught of supervillains, her job at the paper, and the joys of newfound motherhood.
Early 2018, Kristen appeared in the world premiere of Lost Laughs: The Slapstick Tragedy of Fatty Arbuckle at MRT. Directed by Nathan Keepers, and written by Andy Bayiates and Aaron Muñoz...this original 'true hollywood story' featured Muñoz as Arubuckle and Kristen as everyone else (17 characters?!?) including Buster Keaton and Virginia Rappe.
NEWSICAL THE MUSICAL
Following tour, Kristen spent the majority of 2017 at home in NEWSical the Musical Off-Broadway at Theatre Row. She appeared in this clever send up of pop culture, the media and and the oval office on and off for five years. Over the years she sang and sketched as Hillary Clinton, Celine Dion, Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore, Honey Boo Boo, Miley Cyrus, Nancy Grace and Melania Trump. The show itself has celebrated more years of success, featuring guest stars such as Perez Hilton, LaToya Jackson, Jackee Harry, Andrea McArdle, Kandi Buress and Carson Kressley.
A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE
Kristen spent late 2015 through early 2017 on the road as Lady Eugenia with the first national tour of the 2014 Tony Award Winning Best Musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Directed by Darko Tresnjak, choreographed by Peggy Hickey, and musically directed by Paul Staroba and Larry Goldberg, this hilarious musical "killed" across the country.
